We offer pet grooming services as preventative measures as well as to help your pet feel their best.
Some of the grooming services we offer include:
- Anal gland expressions
- Ear cleaning (if there is anything abnormal the veterinarian will be notified)
- Medicated bath for pets with skin allergies
- Nail trimming
- Ear Plucking
- Feline "Lion" shaves (generally) under sedation.
For your pet’s safety as well as the safety of our staff, we do require all pets to have current vaccination records when scheduling grooming appointments. If your pet requires any boosters at the time of scheduling grooming, simply let the receptionist know, and our veterinarian can administer the vaccine prior to service. If undergoing sedation, we require a health check within the last 12 month period. For animals over 7 years of age, a health check within the last 6 month period would be required.
Please note that our Veterinary Staff perform all services to their best abilities. Our staff are not certified groomers but trained under a veterinarian. Our goal through grooming is to help your companion feel more comfortable and avoid injuries or illness. For example, long nails can lead to torn or split nails and impacted/blocked anal glands can lead to an abscess. We do not offer "Breed specific" cuts and will not attempt these. If services cannot be rendered due to pet fear, aggression or unwillingness, we will not force your pet to undergo the planned service. Our office will notify you of any services that we were not able to complete prior to picking up your pet. While you will not be charged for services not performed, our staff will offer suggestions to help lessen your pet’s apprehension towards their next grooming appointment.
If you have any questions, concerns, or would like to schedule an appointment, please contact our office.
